Front Porch A.C.T.S. is offering a two-day ACTS (Trauma Drama) Facilitator Training for educators, counselors, social workers, caregivers and others seeking creative, trauma-informed tools to support youth well-being.

Trauma Drama, developed by Dr. Joseph Spinazzola, is an evidence based, trauma-informed approach that uses improvisation and experiential activities to support emotional expression, regulation, resilience, and connection. This training equips participants with hands-on curriculum and facilitation strategies that can be integrated into classrooms, youth focused organizations, or even at home.

Front Porch Improv A.C.T.S. instructors are the only Georgia-based certified providers of the Trauma Drama curriculum. This interactive training will equip participants with hands-on curriculum and facilitation strategies that can be integrated into classrooms and school communities. Through experiential, play-based activities, participants will explore ways to foster emotional expression, resilience, and connection in a supportive environment.

9:30 AM – 3:00 PM (both days)

What to Expect:
  • On-your-feet experiential learning with guided instruction
  • Interactive activities, reflection, and peer discussion
  • Printed Trauma Drama curriculum and practical tools to use immediately
  • Training led by certified Front Porch A.C.T.S. instructors
  • Coffee and snacks provided; lunch break each day

By the End of the Training, Participants Will Be Able To:
  • Facilitate Trauma Drama–based activities with youth
  • Support emotional expression, regulation, and connection
  • Integrate creative, trauma-informed practices into existing settings
