Description
Soberprov Workshop
Finding Your Yes, And in Recovery!
May 15th - 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm
$45 ($35 if you register by May 8th!)

What if the same skills that make a great improviser, skills like radical acceptance, living in the present, trusting your instincts, and showing up honestly for others, are also the skills that sustain a life in recovery?

They are. And Soberprov will show you exactly how.

Soberprov is a 2½-hour workshop that brings together the transformative principles of the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous and the art of improvisational theater. Designed specifically for people in recovery, this is not a performance class; it's a lived experience of the work you're already doing, seen through a playful, powerful new lens.

This workshop will be led by Tom Booker, an improv teacher with over three decades of experience, and who just celebrated 33 years of sobriety. Soberprov creates a safe, supportive, and joyful space where recovery principles come alive on their feet.

What you'll explore:
Through carefully crafted improv exercises mapped directly to the principles of the Big Book, participants will discover how surrender opens the door to creativity, how honest listening is the foundation of real connection, how letting go of outcomes frees us to act, and how a room full of strangers can become a community in a single afternoon.

Who this is for:
Anyone in recovery, whether you're on Day 1 or Year 30, who is curious, willing, and ready to play. No theater experience required. Just an open mind and a desire to connect.

What to expect:
Laughter. Honesty. Moments of surprise. The particular relief that comes when you stop performing and start being present. You'll leave with a deeper understanding of the principles you already live by, and a few new ways to carry them.

Because recovery gave us our lives back. Soberprov is a chance to play in them.

– For ages 18 & Older
– This workshop is limited to 12 students
