Description
What you’ll learn

The Pretty Flower is a unique long-form improv format that combines the depth of a monoscene with the speed and playfulness of tag-outs. Starting from one grounded scene, performers branch out to explore characters, relationships, and any comedic ideas before returning to the central story, creating a show that feels both cohesive and wildly imaginative.

We’ll work on:
  • Creating a grounded source scene that generates rich material for the entire show
  • Using tag-outs to explore the funniest moments, ideas, and relationships
  • Building memorable supporting scenes while keeping them connected to the central story
  • Finding strong callbacks and thematic connections that make the show feel cohesive
  • Returning to the source scene with purpose, momentum, and new discoveries
  • Balancing fast-paced exploration with grounded, character-driven comedy

About me
I’m a Peruvian comedian based in Washington, DC, and I’ve been doing improv comedy for over 15 years. Over that time, I’ve been fortunate to receive multiple comedy awards, teach and perform in more than 20 cities across the U.S., Latin America, and Europe, and get millions of views online through my comedic work. I’ve also had the honor of being featured on major comedy podcasts like Earwolf’s improv4humans with Matt Besser and Improv Nerd with Jimmy Carrane.

If you’re looking to sharpen your skills, get real reps with feedback, and learn from someone who lives and breathes improv, I’d love to work with you in this class.
