You Are Not Alone: Family Matters

Friday, Nov 21, 2025 @ 7:00 PM PST • Multiple prices

Description
Stories. Connection. Courage. It starts with a story.

Family, friends, and neighbors aren’t just the people around us, they’re the people who shape us. They test our patience, remind us who we are, and sometimes surprise us with unexpected grace.

Join us for an evening of true stories that celebrate the ties that hold us together and the moments that stretch them thin. Four Portland storytellers step up to share funny, raw, and deeply human tales about the beautiful mess of being in community with one another.
This isn’t a night about perfect families or flawless friendships. It’s about the real stuff, the awkward moments, the small kindnesses, the arguments that taught us something, and the neighbors who changed everything.

Come solo, bring friends, or make it a night out. All are welcome. Come for the stories. Stay for the reminder that we belong to each other, and that community, however imperfect is what makes us human.

Our featured storytellers for this show are Jhordan Blumenberg, Katie Nguyen, Iris Rivera, and Anjene Bryant.

Presented in partnership with Xcelerate Women. Xcelerate Women supports Oregon's women and gender-expansive business owners to achieve sustainable business growth. You Are Not Alone is part of a storytelling series hosted by Lauren Sinner & Chris Williams that centers human connection in all its messy, beautiful, and surprising forms. Come as you are. Leave with a little more of what we all need.
